Miss University of Arkansas Whitney Williams, 23, won the title of Miss Arkansas 2021 at the 83rd Miss Arkansas Scholarship Competition on June 19, 2021. Whitney is a Senior at the University of Arkansas majoring in Speech Pathology. She is also a member of the Razorback Majorettes.
As Miss Arkansas 2021, Whitney won a total of $44,400 in scholarships, including a $30,000 scholarship provided by Ted and Shannon Boy Skokos and the Miss Arkansas Scholarship Foundation. Additional awards adding to the total amount are:

Whitney also received more than $75,000 in additional scholarship awards, wardrobe, transportation, and gifts. She will represent Arkansas at Miss America in Connecticut this December. As Miss Arkansas, she will make appearances across the Natural State promoting her personal platform of “Heart for the Arts” and speaking in support of the goals of the Miss Arkansas and Miss America system.
Williams was crowned by the outgoing Miss Arkansas 2019-2020, Darynne Dahlem, of Greenwood who served for an unprecedented two years due to the pandemic.

The Miss Arkansas Scholarship Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and the sole fundraising entity for the Miss Arkansas Scholarship Competition. For decades, the Competition has maintained a tradition of empowering young women to achieve their personal and professional goals while providing a forum in which to express their opinions, talents, and intelligence.
Nearly $215,000 in scholarships were awarded throughout during the week of the 2021 Miss Arkansas Scholarship Competition to various candidates. Additionally in 2020, a total of $60,000 was awarded to all Miss Arkansas and Miss Arkansas’ Outstanding Teen candidates when the Competition was canceled due to COVID-19.
