Miss Arkansas Scholarship Foundation awarded a total of $35,300 in scholarships for MAROTeen at the Miss Arkansas Outstanding Teen 2019 competition Friday, June 14, 2019 at the Robinson Center Auditorium in Little Rock. Thirty-nine (39) young women between ages 13-17 competed for the title of Miss Arkansas’ Outstanding Teen 2019. We are thrilled to announce that Sarah Cate Lay, the 16-year old daughter of Mark and Cathy Lay of North Little Rock and is a junior at Mount Saint Mary Academy is the MAROTeen 2019. Sarah Cate will represent Arkansas is the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2020 competition is Orlando Florida July 3-27-2019.
Sarah Cate captured the state title during her fourth year competing, and she is excited to spread her personal platform “The Purple Project: Epilepsy Education” across the state of Arkansas. Throughout her year of service, Sarah Cate will also serve as the state teen ambassador for the Children’s Miracle Network. Throughout her years of competing, Sarah Cate earned a $7000 scholarship and over $25,000 in awards, wardrobe, and gifts when she claimed the state title. In her previous years of competing, she earned $1,100 in awards from local titles and $2,000 in awards from competing in past Miss Arkansas’ Outstanding Teen.
